A Long Winter (2018–2024) is a long-term documentary project exploring everyday life in Latvia through subtle moments that feel slightly outside the ordinary.
Working with typologies and drawn to the understated, the series captures scenes that hint at irony, displacement, or the surreal without stepping outside the real. When winter feels endless, the camera lingers on what might otherwise go unnoticed.
