Tatiana Olga Natalia
This project presents a small found photo archive from one of the first fashion schools in Latvia, active between 1991 and 1994. The school, known as TON (an acronym for Tatiana, Olga, Natalia), emerged during a moment of profound cultural and political transformation, when the frameworks of identity and expression were rapidly shifting. The archive offers a rare glimpse into the early post-Soviet fashion scene and reveals how fashion became a kind of rehearsal for freedom - a way to imagine new possibilities and ways of being in a world still in transition. With limited access to global trends, these photographs convey a raw visual language of the time: imperfect, improvised, and full of intent.
